2024 Policy & Lesson Protocols

Are there makeups because I missed a lesson due to work, sickness, etc.? No  Please carefully consider your schedule as there are no makeups and missed lessons are nonrefundable. Makeups are only given for company cancellations, ie. instructor sickness or pool is closed.

Rain Policy- For outdoor lessons, lessons will be confirmed around 9am, if weather forecast predicts lightening showers, lessons will be determined an hour before lesson time by instructor and parent. If instructor is in the water and lesson has to be called due to weather then there will be no makeup for the lesson.     

Is there a viewing area for indoor lessons?  Yes  

Pool policy is no outdoor shoes on pool deck.  All parents/guardians are to stay behind the white drainage line to keep dirt near the pool to a minimum.  

Is there parking? Yes  Parking is on premises. The parking is provided for your convenience. Our company, its owners, & the Alexander assume no responsibility for any theft or damage to vehicles parked on this property.             

What is the policy for guests? Parents plus 1 guest only please  (to keep distractions to a minimum). Guests must arrive at the pool at the same time as the client. Entrance to the building is locked upon beginning of lesson. Lessons will be not be interrupted for guests.   

May I leave the pool deck? No Parents/Guardians are to remain on the pool deck during the entirety of the lesson for the safety of the swimmer and the instructor.  

May I stay in the pool past the lesson to practice swimming? No        

May I rent out the pool for pool parties? No

No additional children/adults to a lesson- Unless communicated with Ashley, there will be no "add ons" to the lessons already scheduled.  If you contact Ashley she can get your information or the other individuals information and we can begin lessons the following week.

Lessons need to be confirmed asap the day of lesson. 

Am I allowed in the pool with my child? No 

Lessons are 1:1 ratio to create the safest learning environment for the student.  Teaching is performed by professional swim instructors.  When a child is not provided with clear expectations, it is confusing and frustrating for them. They can feel like they are floundering, trying to figure out which direction to go since they have been given no clear guidance. This does not make for happy and confident swimmers.     

Serrago's Swimmers is a judgment free zone, children and infants can be unwilling  at times to cooperate in and around the pool the day of a lesson.  If your child refuses to enter the water, acts out in the water with behaviors that are unsafe to themselves, others and to that of the pool for any reason, the instructor has every right to unilaterally cancel the lesson at any time

Swim Diapers are required for swim lessons for children that are not toilet trained. Normal pampers are not allowed in the pool 

Regardless of arrival times for indoor lessons, sessions will end at the scheduled time.

Lesson packages must be paid in full prior to the first lesson.

All lessons are nonrefundable.

Serrago's Swimmers reserves the right to refuse service. The right to refuse service means that a business has the authority to turn away a customer. Under federal law, a business has a legal right to decline to provide their goods or services to a customer.   ‍

Serrago's Swimmers refuses to stand for and will not serve any clients exibiting discrimination or expressing racial/gender/religious prejudice.

If Albany Public Schools declares a snow day/early dismissal/late start, swim lessons are cancelled and will be made up
