The Griffith University study confirmed that children who take early swim lessons put them at a developmental advantage compared to peers who do not take swim lessons.
Swim lessons can start as early as 6 months. Some can learn to swim with my lessons as young as 24 months old. Here is a brief explanation of the infant skills I emphasize by age.
6 months - Water Acclimation
7-9 months - Emphasis leg and kicking development
9 months - Bubbles, Water Submersion
13-18 months - Hand/eye coordination
19-24 months - Beginner paddle strokes & independent floating/swimming
2+ y/o - Other strokes and water safety skills
Swimming lessons will help your child learn what to do in a pool emergency as well as turning them into a stronger, independent swimmer one day.
30 minutes of individualized instruction created around your child's need and development. This leads to quicker progress and a postive experience. Overall you get a greater value for your investment.
Lessons are once a week on the same day & time, same instructor
Monday - Friday
In addition to giving your child a physical activity, they will acquire a LIFE SAVING SKILL that they will have forever have one day after receiving lessons.
Here are some real statistics that expose the scary side to playing in the pool:
