Children's Swim Lessons

My swim lesson program focuses on:

1) Water Safety
2) Individual needs
3) FUN!

My approach will help your child learn what to do in a pool emergency as well as turning them into a stronger, independent swimmer.

What makes Serrago’s Swimmers a better choice for your family over other swim programs? I offer private swim lessons where I come to you! If you live in the Capital District during the summer months and have access to a backyard pool call Serrago’s Swimmers! We will discuss what day/time works best for your schedule and I accommodate accordingly. My aim is to offer you convenience as well as a private swim lesson. There’s no upfront membership cost like the Y or Red Cross. It’s pay as you go. Unlike other swim schools you can schedule as many or as few lessons that can fit into your schedule. No longer worry about paying for lessons that you cannot attend, scheduling makeups, or large classes with little personal attention. Quit gathering a swim bag and wasting time driving back and forth to the pool. It’s time to sit back, relax, and watch your child learn to swim in their own pool.

Need More Convincing?

In addition, to giving your child a summer activity, they will have this LIFE SAVING SKILL forever. Once you know how to swim you can always draw upon that experience. Here are some real statistics that expose the scary side to playing in the pool. Last summer according to the documented cases.

Nearly 140 children under age 15 were reported to have drowned in swimming pools and spa tubs during the 2012 summer season between Memorial Day and Labor Day. An additional 168 children of that age required emergency response for near-fatal incidents. 54 of these drownings occurred soon after the children left an adult who was in their immediate vicinity, and 31 children drowned despite the presence of others at the pool.

Take a moment to pause and understand the impact on our children’s lives if we teach them how to swim safely! Teaching someone to swim = Future potential to save their life. Not everyone has to love swimming, but we can insist on them learning the proper ways to get themselves to safety and out of the water if the need ever arise.

My swim lessons for kids are not all work and no play. I love to include toys, games, and songs to create a fun learning environment. The only way you’ll rest easy around the pool/water with your children is to sign your child up for swimming lessons this summer.
