  • Capital District Triathlon Club Lifeguard
  • Division I Siena College Record Holder; Top Place Finisher
  • Directed/taught YMCA Learn to Swim Program
  • Participated in Albany YMCA Triathlon Startup Program
  • Swim Coach, Albany Starfish
  • Swim Coach, College of Saint Rose (Division II)
  • Directed Bethlehem Triathlon Club Water Safety; Served as the Swim Lesson Liaison
  • Initiated the Albany YMCA Triathlon “Learn to Tri” Program
  • Started my own business: Serrago’s Swimmers Teaching Triathletes, Children, and People with Disabilities to Swim

I am extremely athletic and also love to hike and snowboard in the upstate New York region. I have a 5-year old dog Marv that sometimes accompanies me to outdoor swim lessons!

See what my clients are saying:

In the pool, Ms. Serrago had a wonderful rapport with my daughter. She created a warm, welcoming environment. Her lessons were engaging and my daughter was challenged but supported as she grew. Ashley clearly communicates expectations and always monitored my child’s readiness to try new skills. She constantly modified lessons to meet her needs. She is quick on her feet and always able to handle the fussiness of my toddler with ease.

Ms. Serrago’s lessons always incorporated a variety of learning strategies. She taught safety in ways that were appropriate for my daughter’s age. Ashley was always prepared and took advantage of any teachable moment that arose. This is a very valuable skill in a classroom with many unique learners. She is flexible and always has her students’ best interests in mind. Ms. Serrago was never late and always contacted us when the weather was questionable to see if we were comfortable with having a lesson. We trusted Ashley so much that we hired her to take care of our children when needed and even offered her a nanny position.
